Ninna Nanna B&B is the first bed and breakfast facility to be founded in Mantua and the surrounding area. The owner, Leonardo Manuini, went on to set up the Mantuan Association of Bed and Breakfast and since then has been its president. And the prices are unbelievable, almost like those of hostels, so it would be difficult to find lower prices in the area. You are still not convinced? Ok, we are not in the city centre of Mantua, but in Buscoldo - a little town on Padan plain - with no traffic jams, traffic lights and speed limits. We are 5 minutes’ drive from the centre of Mantua. In front of the B&B there is a bus stop, so you can get to Mantua in a very little time. It’s important to note that Mantua has an unusual road network, influenced by lakes and CCTV, a real nightmare for tourists and visitors. You can just leave your car at private parking of the B&B “Ninna Nanna” and visit Palazzo Te (Palace Te) and Palazzo Ducale (Ducal Palace) without risking a fine. Therefore, you can enjoy yourselves, choose what you feel like for breakfast and visit much more than the historic centre of Mantua: Buscoldo is near the Oglio and Po Rivers, as well as the cities of Sabbioneta (UNESCO heritage site along with Mantua) and San Benedetto Po, and it’s also on the main route to Parma. There is also an excellent restaurant near the B&B where you can try typical local products and dishes that include homemade tortelli di zucca, agnoli, risotto with puntel, risotto with saltarei and, of course, risotto alla mantovana. This is prepared with the finest quality rice known as vialone nano and sausage and is a must to try because Mantua is one of the capitals famous for Italian sausage goods.
